While the SSI Open Water Diver course starts at the minimum age of 10, younger children can still experience the excitement of scuba diving in a controlled, safe environment. Our pool program introduces the basics of scuba diving without the pressure of completing a certification course.
Learn the Basics of Scuba Diving
The program starts with a simple and easy-to-understand theory session. Our experienced SSI instructors explain how scuba equipment works, basic underwater communication, and the most important safety rules. Everything is adapted to the child’s age and learning pace, making the experience both enjoyable and educational.
After the theory, it’s time to get into the pool.
Children will learn basic scuba skills such as:
- Breathing comfortably underwater.
- Clearing water from their mask.

There is no rush. Every child learns differently, and our instructors make sure each participant feels comfortable before moving on to the next activity.
A Non-Certification Experience
It is important to know that this is not an SSI certification course.
The Pool Scuba Program is purely an introductory experience that allows children to discover the underwater world safely while learning the foundations of scuba diving. Once they reach the age of 10, they can continue their diving journey by enrolling in the SSI Open Water Diver course, where they will earn an internationally recognized scuba certification.
